The scale of Syria’s humanitarian crisis is beyond imagination as 11 million people (half of the country’s pre-war population) are now displaced and 250,000 have died since the war began in 2011.
Hundreds of thousands are attempting the dangerous journey across the Mediterranean Sea to enter Europe to save their lives and dignity. Looking for a more secure and promising future, parents are risking the lives of their children by crossing the Mediterranean in hopes of seeking refuge in Europe.
As the needs of refugees – inside Syria, in the region, and now in Europe – become even more severe, we know that the most urgent needs are clean water, food and safe shelter.
Quba Trust’s Emergency Response Team is closely monitoring the situation and along with its partners is planning to assist the refugees in Greece and other parts of Europe. We urge everyone to pray for the wellbeing of everyone fleeing the violence and support our efforts to help people in need.
